A Church is a Home, and We Welcome You Here!

Becoming a member of a church means not just finding a community to be in fellowship with, but also voluntarily counting yourself a member of a larger family in all sense of the word. A home in which you are welcome, and a reflection of the Gospel. While some find church membership to be either complicated or unnecessary, the truth is the Word of God reveals evidence that shows membership in a local body of believers to be vital and needed in our walk of faith.

Church membership is spoken of in the metaphor of the body of Christ.

“The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together” (1 Corinthians 12:21-26, ESV).

In case you're wondering, childcare is available during FBC 101 for babies through 5th grade. Kids 6th grade and older are invited to participate in FBC 101 with you!
